need help with compatible cpu's

Hi I have this motherboard

ASUS TUF Intel H310M-PLUS GAMING Coffee Lake Micro ATX Motherboard

and I was wondering if a

i7 8700k will work

Yes, but you won't be able to overclock, and I'd worry about VRM temps on that board with an i7-8700K even at stock speeds.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Yes it will work. Though id never pair that kind of mobo with that kind of CPU.

 

How did you get that motherboard?

 

What are you intending to do?

 

What are the rest of the system specs?

i5-8400 would be my pick with that board.
