Can't cast YouTube to Google Home Mini?

Is there a way to cast YouTube to a Google Home Mini? Can you cast mp3 files to it through chrome? I've updated all of my chrome devices. I can only play music through the Google Home app on my phone. Is Google Home locked down to YouTube Music?

You can use music cast apps like YouTube music, but on your phone you can go in Google home app and cast audio.

So I cant cast audio from my PC to my home mini even though theyre on the same wifi network?
