GTX 1060 vs RX 580

mayonnaiseblackhole

On Newegg, they are pretty much the same price and both come with a game pack. I am looking at https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500454&Description=gtx 1060&cm_re=gtx_1060-_-14-500-454-_-Product and https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125962&Description=rx 580&cm_re=rx_580-_-14-125-962-_-Product

I am using a Ryzen 3 2200G at 1080p and have had generally enjoyed the product and Drivers. Which do you believe I should buy?

The AMD card will have a little more power draw I guess? When they're the same price, they're pretty comparative.

I think i will go with the 580 for freesync, amd link, and it seems to be better by a little bit

They are so close on performance that it’s seriously up to the drivers to decide, get whichever you think looks the best I guess.

I am faster than 80% of all snakes

cpu: AMD Fx-8350

motherboard: GIGABYTE 970 (am3+)

RAM: 16gb ddr3 adata

gpu: AMD xfx rx 560 2gb

psu: 500w

storage: 1tb hdd

I am what you call “budget gamer”

Solid choice. I have an AMD HD 7970 from 7 years ago and it still keeps pace with the 1050ti. AMD makes good cards.

If you're going 580, this is the one to get IMO.  Its usually closer to $250.00.

I would go for that one, but it doesn't come with the game pack which I would like. I was thinking of this one https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150794&Description=rx 580&cm_re=rx_580-_-14-150-794-_-Product

If it were me, I wouldn't put the value of a few games higher than the overall value and experience of your graphics card.  The Sapphire, in my opinion, is a better card.  I'd go with the better piece of hardware, because games will eventually go on sale for pretty cheap.
