Plugged in a 5v adapter to my mobo and the only color showing is green on the top led cable.

Damn I'll take it

Rather new product, it's entirely possible it's defective, especially because it's this tiny, simple device. What happens when you change the color settings via the control board?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Nothing.  With it being a gigabyte board I'd reckon that could also be part of the problem.  I didn't have an extra Sata power to try the included controller. I'll try that tonight.

Only the top ribbon was green.  Kinda disappointed.

Unfortunately I'm afraid the RGB portion simply just does not work.  Tried it with the sata pcie bracket thing and yeah, notta.
