A bottleneck won't prevent your PC from functioning, it just limits performance

it will run fine in any game that is NOT CPU bound.

 

I would also recommend just upgrading to a 6700k. No need to change platform to a 2700x

I'm gonna buy a new motherboard anyways because my current cant really handle overclocking that well.
