Just let it run its course. Grab a snack, take a nap. You can quote me when it finishes.

Hey I just finished doing all of the installations and it finally works. Thank you so much man you are a life saver. You're the best lol

  • i have recently bought a rtx 2080 and am trying to use it in my computer but it is not being detected. all it says is Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. i am really frustrated and i have no idea what to do. i have the asrock z390 extreme4 motherboard with 16gb g-skill trident z, i5 9600k, 750w powersupply. the drivers are not installing as well.

Reseat the card and make sure you are plugging in all of the power connectors for the card.

Go to the manufacture's website and make sure all of the drivers are up to date for it.

Have you been restarting in between reseats? Make sure the power cables are plugged in all the way and to the right ports on the PSU.

I have a semi modular power supply from evga and I have the cables plugged into VGA 2, should it be in VGA 1?

Since it looks like something shows up under "pci device", it might be the card. Do you have any other Pcie devices plugged in?

I ended up uninstalling the drivers with ddu and the 2080 was not recognized under the menu but the gtx 980 was. I'm really not sure what to even do now

Well since it shows up as pci device right click on that and see if it has an option for you to update drivers. Then choose to search the internet.
