What's up with the onboard GPU?

Guest

I have an old family PC and if I connect it to a monitor via VGA with a discrete graphics card, it works perfecty fine, but when I use the onboard vga it seems like there is no backlight and anything on the screen is barely visible, so it's neither the cable or the monitor. What else could it be and is there a way to fix it?

Update it and see. Run both at the same time. Enable it in the bios.

Well possibly system settings for the built in graphics are not set properly?
