When I play games recently I have been having terrible lag problems and its unusual it first started when my ASUS WIFI adapter stopped working I bought a new one and the same problem is occurring sometimes it even disconnects and doesnt show that I have a wifi adapter plugged in

wifi is not a good solution to game on. Its a problem you likely will always have regardless until you switch to hard wire. There is no way around it as there is always going to be interference in the air in some form or another and will only continue to get worse as we continue to get more and more IoT devices and more and more people hooked up wifi without doing channel scans to see whats open or the least congested.
