Intel Optane not working

I just build my first PC a week ago and I am trying to set up my intel optane module, the only problem is that when i try to set it up it says " Intel Optane Memory requires a motherboard with supported Intel 200 series chipset (Or later) to be enabled. But i have a i5 9600k cpu and a Asus ROG z390 - H motherboard that says on the box that it supports intel optane.

I am Not using any M.2 SSDs

I'll be honest, its never an issue i've run into or had to do, so I'm not quite sure. I'm sure theres tutorials for Asus boards since they're widely purchased

It's not too difficult, but make sure to follow every step, and DO NOT under any circumstances unplug your computer or power it down, or flip the power switch in anyway while the BIOS is updating.
