First time build , need some help .

I’m building my very first pc , I have an rog strix b450 f gaming motherboard , a ryzen 2600 cpu and 2x8gb Corsair vengeance rgb pro DDR4 ram at the moment , but I need some help  figuring out what the best graphics card would be for compatibility with the components I have right now , I am looking to play AAA games like bo4 , GTA v and some other open world games at minimum high settings at 1080p . Any help would be great , will be looking out for any responses!!!

GTX 1080/RTX 2070 would be the sweet spot. See if you can find a new or used 1080ti as well for around the same price point and try and snag that up.

1070 ti is also still availible, vega 64 is cheap, I'll add that to this. I can check the cards on cooling and general quality if needed

thankfully compatibility with components isn't something you're going to need to worry about much with GPUs, other than PSU Wattage and case clearances.

There are plenty of benchmark sites comparing GPUs, Figure out how much the most you're willing to pay for a gpu and find one in the benchmark region you like and can afford.

Swap the Mobo to anything but Asus B450. Their higher tier boards are good, but lower tier are a dissapointment.

Take a look at the MSI tomahawk or higher end B450 boards. Those are currently the best that B450 tier offers

I was going to get a b450 tomahawk but at micro center they did not have them in stock , and the guy helping me recommended the Asus b450 so that’s the one I got . But if I can return it I will and will look into just ordering a b450 tomahawk online .

Asus B450 is an ok board, but for the price there are a lot of options better than it. MSI gaming B450 board should be priced the same. Id return the Asus board unless you got it at the same price as the Tomahawk would have cost

Online on Newegg , the tomahawk is 110$ I got the Asus b450 for 99$ , the actual price is 129.99$ , but because I got the cpu and mobo as a bundle they discounted 30$ off the mobo,  since I got a good deal on it and I payed less then I would have for the tomahawk  , I might as well keep the asus.

I have a i5 8400 (nearly the same performance than the ryzen 2600), in CPU demanding titles it can be a bottleneck for my 1070. But other than that, everything runs above 60 fps, most of the time around 90 or higher in 1080p hight/ultra settings.

I would go with the best that your budget can afford, but definitely not lower than the 1070.

EDIT: sorry, my finger slipped and I ended up writing i7 5400 instead of i5 8400, oops

Yup from what the other replies have said a 1070  is the way to go , and it is within my budget for a gpu which is 350-400$.
