comparability ?

HRM

I am getting a MicroATX case, 350D, and want to remove the HD tray and still want a HD.  I was thinking of getting a 2.5" HD and putting it in the SSD cage.  My question is do I need any type of adapter or special connectors to add this HD in my build Western Digital Scorpio Black 500GB 2.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ?

It will mount the same way you'd mount a 2.5" ssd.

If you're mounting a 3.5" to a 2.5"drive bay no it won't fit.

It will fit.

Get a 5.25 to 3.5 drive bay adapter and mount a 3.5 HDD in the in the external drive bay.  That way don't even have to bother with a 2.5 HDD.

I'd recommend something like this:  http://www.amazon.com/ORICO-AC52535-1S--SV-2-5-Converter/dp/B007VP83BU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389489749&sr=8-2&keywords=orico+5.25+to+3.5
