My 1080 Doesnt down clock?

Hey guys! I've noticed recently that my GTX 1080 Sticks at 1607 MHZ ALL THE TIME, Some games it just doesnt boost. Any idea what can be causing this?

 

Its a GTX 1080 Founder's edition BTW

use optimal power in Nvidia control panel

You might have something using the GPU. There's an option in the top menu of the NVIDIA control panel to show a notification icon that reports which apps are using it. Or if you have Windows 10 build 1803 or later installed, you can see which app is using the GPU in Task Manager.

 

Also might be good to not have MSI Afterburner running to monitor this to avoid any possibility of the app overriding the normal features of the GPU. HWMonitor, HWiNFO, or GPU-Z can monitor the GPU passively.

What monitor and are you using more than one?

The problem seems to go on or off for me. When it was an actual concern I just used nvida inspector and have it power save and downclock like normal.

I got same issue..... even without AB  I found out the clocks are stuck, But as soon as I game the clocks downclock properly and also increase clock close to max OC . It is annoying because it makes your GPU like 11c hotter now.  I don't know how to fix it,,,,,Ive tried DDU and what not.
