set automatically date and time not working

so on my Ipad, if i go to settings > general > date and time , if i press “set automatically” it just spins and spins and spins, and i would not care because i have the date and time set manually to the right time, but now i cannot send messages to anybody i just get a message saying “message send failed” , i inow it is because of my date and time. yes, i am on latest ios i just updated 10 minutes ago, please help

Devices set their time automatically using Network Time Protocol (NTP), which requires internet connection.

This could also explain why you cannot send message.

then why can i access google? its only texts that wont go through
