Hi Guys,

This is my very first post on this forum.
Here is my background story.

I always build my own computer, but mostly for work and have never build a gaming one before.
I do professional imaging work which uses a lot of photoshop or photo manipulation software.
My Current PC is a 5 year old 4th Generation i5 Core with 16GB RAM and a RX550 machine.
It's a workshorse, but feels like this horse is getting a bit old. (I deal with 100Megapixel or sometimes even more)
I was thinking to get a used 4770K and another 16GBs of RAM to see if it would help, BUT why not just get a new one and move this back home for my entertainment use?

So, for the new machine, I'm actually gonna use it for a little bit more stuff which I'm going to learn - 3D modelling and rendering (starting to learn C4D next month), a little bit gaming (Yes, I can play games in my office), and some light 4K video editing.

And here is the ideal spec:

Intel i9 9900K

MSI Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon

MSI RTX2080 Ventus

Corsair RGB Pro 16GB x 2 2666Mhz

WD Black SSD NVMe 1TB

WD Blue HDD 3TB x2 (Raid 0)

Corsair H115i RGB Platinum AIO

Corsair ML120RGB x 3

Corsair RM1000i

Fractal R6 Type-C TG

Yes, I know, RGB lighting......... I'm turning 34 years old and I just never had one before. So, WHY NOT? LOL

So, what do you guys think about this configuration?

I would like to use this machine for the next 5-7 years with maybe minor upgrade only.

Thank you very much!

Aaron

Not sure why people are always saying you don't need that high of wattage PSU. But if you have the money and you might upgrade another part later or you just want a really good PSU (I know, it doesn't have to be a high wattage to be good), and you can afford it, then go for it.

This is exactly what I'm thinking about. What if I win a Lottery next year and purchase another 2080 to run a NVLink :P

Actually, I'm a guy who put a lot of focus on POWER! Just like my true hi-fi stereo system, power means everything :D

That looks pretty solid, honestly.

Quick Question: Case: R6 or Corsair 500D "no front TG ver."?

500D All the way. The was my other option for my build lol. It's beatiful and has hinged doors, which really come in handy if you're testing things out. I'm more about looks than functionality, long as it gets the job done. Plus, I think it would look better with your RGB!!
