Subnautica Mouse Issues

I recently got subnautica for free from the epic games launcher. It is still free if you want it. It worked for a while, however now when I try to play the mouse freezes and I cant change my direction.

Specs:

1440p monitor

R7 2700x

GTX 1080

16GB RAM

Could anyone help?
