Best way to add MASS storage?

Arika

So i'm thinking of starting to have digital copies of Movies, TV shows, etc instead of relying on streaming services that lose licenses, aren't available in my country etc. However my PC is an m-ITX and i have 0 room to put any more hard drives.

So i need options of the best way to connect more HDDs to my PC, either a multi-bay enclosure, a stack of separate enclosures/external hard-drives. I did consider a NAS, but i don't necessarily want the entire thing shared on the network.

If i get a multi-bay enclosure, i want it to be able to take 2.5" drives and be hot-swappable/tooless so i can pull a drive out, throw it in a portable enclosure and connect it to my TV/laptop/tablet so i can use it anywhere.

How much storage are you looking at? If it's anything less than 8TB, just get a USB storage drive and enclosure from Seagate or something as it'll be the most cost effective and somewhat portable. If you already have the drives or need more storage than 8TB, I'd recommend a MediaSonic Probox drive enclosure. It's a bit costly, but reliable and can fit 4 drives.
