Hi everyone,

I’m typing this message after hours trying to get this slider into place.

I fixed for someone his laptop (ASUS N76VZ) and installing a fresh SSD and cloned his data to a new 2,5inch drive.

Before I would have taken the drive out the computer and put new ones in I wanted to get the battery out and swap the drives.

At the moment I slit the slider to get the battery out the button came off and the battery is stuck. It looks like the slider was full open, so the battery had to came out, but it doesn’t.

I tried and I tried to get at least the battery out with a few plastic tools and sliding the plastic underneath even more open, but the battery keeps being stuck.

Also the slider I can’t reattach because the plastic underneath that does the opening-mechanism bend down, and so the button won’t reattach.

I don’t have high hopes, but maybe there is someone here who can help me with this problem. I feel so stupid and I don’t know what to do.

There is not any plastic broken on the slider nor the opening-machinism underneath, it looks like.

In the attachment are some pictures of the problem.

Thanks!
