So I am trying to find a 2-in-1 laptop for college that is under $1000. My major will be business orientated with a computer science minor. Most of the CPU's for them that I have found, that seems to be halfway decent, is the Intel i5-8250u, AMD Ryen 5 2500U, AMD Ryzen 7 2700U. Which would be the best pick when I am mainly photo editing, doing business classes, multi-tasking, and doing a few computer maintenance classes?

It all comes down to cost and the remaining specs of the laptop. I was able to find my laptop over a year ago with an i7 6700HQ and GTX 1060M for $950 (on sale) which is better than the ones you listed and still under $1000. The Ryzen 5 and Intel i5 are both in the same tier I suppose, but the Ryzen will be better. The Ryzen 7 will outperform these significantly. The main benefit to the Ryzen's is the integrated graphics. The Ryzen 5 has Vega 8 and the Ryzen 7 has RX Vega 10. Either one of these blows the doors off of Intels integrated graphics solution, so if you're doing photo editing or video editing (especially) you will certainly want the Ryzen. Also gaming!
