Will this work for upgrades?

I am planning on upgrading to a Ryzen 5 2600 and more ram. The ram I found is this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HP8PVVH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qDaeCb5JVFZ4Swill the upgrades I’m planning on getting work? Does it matter that my ram upgrade is 3000mhz and my ram right now is 2666mhz? And what slot do you put a 3rd ram stick after A1 and B1?

If you mix RAM speeds, they'll all sync to the slowest module. So with your setup you'll end up running Triple Channel 2666mhz.

Your upgrade will work in terms of raising capacity, but I'm not sure how this board applies the XMP profile in this case. In worst case it freaks out, in best case it runs all the sticks with whatever settings the older 4gb sticks use.

 

as for the CPU upgrade, don't expect much overclocking if at all because the motherboard is frankly terrible.

So it’s fine to get another 8gb stick? Like no problems? And I’m not planning on overclocking my cpu

Nope, dual channel only.

Will there be any problems using three sticks of ram?
