Tablet Recommendation

Hi,

I'm looking for a tablet recommendations to replace my ageing iPad 2. The two devices I was looking at specifically are the Microsoft Surface Go (8GB model) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. 

 

I'm not a student any more, so I don't need anything specific. I mostly will use it to watch videos, specifically YouTube, send some emails and web browsing. Also I would use it for some light gaming, but I do have other more capable gaming device already, so I'm not looking for a primary gaming device. 

 

I'm also sort of leaning away from getting another iPad. I have had one for a while and I kind of bored with it. I was sort of looking for something different, unless they have changed substantially in the last few years. 

 

Anyway, thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing your suggestions. I'm also open to other devices that I haven't considered as well.

Honestly, the new iPad (6th gen) is a great device for the price. Amazing battery life and great ease of use just for youtube and stuff. 

iOS 12 on an iPad is very different from the iPad 2 days. Even supports multitasking! Go to an Apple store and try it out.
