New PC build!

BrokePilot

Hi! After 2 years I finally get to build my own PC! I do need some help in selecting parts but here's my plan so far

CPU - i5 8400

Mobo - Gigabyte H370M D3H

Ram - 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance LPX

SSD - Samsung 970 evo M.2 250gb

HDD - WD blue 1tb

GPU - Asus strix OC 1060 6gb

PSU - 500w

Case - NZXT H500i

Mouse - G303

Monitor - ?? (Maybe the MSI Optix G24C? It seems to be perfect. Just a lil pricey maybe.)

KB - ??

Cooler - ??

RGB - ??

Thermal Paste - ??

So far this covers my needs. I want a better system to game on, and occasionally do some 3d rendering and video editing, and I'm aiming for a price of 1000~1300 USD. Out of this list, do you see any flaws or places where I can improve for cheaper, etc? If so comment what you'd change!

I also have a few questions -

1. What monitor should I get? I would like high refresh rate ( >60hz), 1080p, 24", curved and slim bezels if possible.

2. What's a good keyboard? I would prefer a TKL as I don't want it to be HUGE. I was looking at the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S RGB

3. What's a good cooler for the i5 8400? I was looking into getting a small water cooler for it

4. What are the RGB led types that PCs use? I'm pretty sure it's the 5050 rgb leds but I wasn't able to fully confirm it yet.

5. What thermal paste should I get? I don't think I really need stuff like liquid metal. Something that's relatively cheap & I can get.

I'll be buying most / all of these parts in Indonesia's local computer shops and if possible a local online shop, so not all recommendations might be available here, but I will appreciate any comments, recommendations and advices. Thanks in advance

PS. I've looked into pc building for a few years & watched build vids, and I'm used to touching/dealing with electronics, so I'm pretty set there. Also, any FPV drone pilots here?

EDIT - I'm also looking into getting wifi / bluetooth in it. What module do I need? I was reading up on the Intel CNVI thing which sadly I can't get here. I found a few M.2 key e wifi modules, so can I get a random one and use it? Thanks.

1- Asus VG248QE is pretty good, but no G-Sync. If you can push 144Hz though, it's not a problem.

2- Masterkeys Pro S is pretty good.

3- I would personally get a decent air cooler over a small liquid cooler.

4- I believe they are 5050 LEDs.

5- Arctic Silver 5 is pretty good. To be fair, a lot of thermal paste from good companies(Noctua, Cooler Master, etc) will be within a few degrees Celsius of each other, so it's not usually a concern as long as it's a good company.

Thanks for the fast reply! I'll get the masterkeys, artic silver 5, some 5050 rgb leds. I'll keep open for more monitor recommendations, and do you have any air cooler recommendations? I was planning on the Corsair hydro H45 or Deepcool Maelstorm 120T

bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 3/4. It'll outperform either of those coolers for just about the same price.
