Did a build a while back to use for school and work and some emulation gaming. Been a huge fan of emulation since highschool, needless to say the ability to run most modern emulators(Dolphin, pcxs2) was a serious requirement of that build. Now to the topic at hand, while in my research phase i came in contact with soooooo many misinformed individuals that it went from funny to sad to just depressing and it inspired this post. Post any myths or misinformation you may have come across concerning emulation.

I don't support console gaming at all just love their games

The two stupidest things i've read

1) You ABSOLUTELY need an i7

2) PS2 and GC emulators will only work with an i5

Running an i3 3240 and a HD 7850 and all games working great

Can you help me get some emulators up and running using screen share on skype or teamviewer? (Prefer skype I'd rather not install TV again.)

I figured it out, lol was pretty simple.

I have every EMU now except PS4, Xbox One, & Wii U.

Downloading the BIOS for ps emus and then some games for all of them tonight.

Gotta buy me a controller though.

The biggest fault I have seen about emulation is "x86 will mean emulation will be easy" type of argument.  For those wondering x86 is an instruction set, so while a system might support an instruction set even a slight change in the implementation can have drastic consequences in emulation...e.g. if a cpu is designed to handle more float points than others, or if there is more complex timings (or extra additional instructions that can be used)....so x86 doesn't imply emulation will be easy.

I hadn't tested them. I just finished running through, they all work except 360 an ps3. Ps3 was just a batch file attempting a virus and xbox360 was just an ad.
