Previously updated windows to latest version, had drivers installed, basic software installed e.g. google chrome, adobe premiere pro. But even whilst installing, the computer will freeze/lock up randomly, I could be browsing with only1 tab open, scrolling through control panel, mouse moves, audio continues playing, but almost like the computer refuses to take any input for a good 5+ secs. Typing will be halted, but all my key inputs will be thrown at me after the "lock up". Also had an issue starting GeForce Experience, it would lock up as well.

I decided to reinstall windows, but now its refusing to let me update to version 1804 of windows. The computer has frozen up trying to boot up ever since windows update assistant initiated a restart. (I've tried reinstalling windows twice by wiping out the partitions and doing a fresh install). Tried to install Nvidia driver, which refused as I wasn't on the right version of windows.

I've tried booting up from an old SSD from an older computer (windows 10) which works perfectly fine.

Here are my specs:

Windows 10 Home 64 bit - current version (10240 - was previously 1804 before reinstalling windows)

BIOS: 1.5 (out of the box)

New build:

Ryzen 2700x - stock cooler

EVGA Geforce GTX1070 FTW

2x16GB Trident Z

ASRock Taichi x470

EVGA supernova 750

Samsung 970 EVO M.2 500GB (main boot drive)

6TB ironwolf HDD (empty at the moment)

Some side notes: GPU fans only spin at start up, but stop after - is that normal? I'm guessing my GPU isnt reaching high enough temps. I didnt do anything to the BIOS settings, no overclocking whats so ever.

Will be helpful if someone can point me in the right direction to figure out the issue.
