I hope he is not expecting a ton. I am not sure you will be able to get much more than a 7770. (although I would recommend an APU now and upgrade to a GPU later)

Before you freak out that equates to 305 pounds. however I would advise you wait 4 days when Kaveri is supposed to launch and get one of those instead of the CP-Excuse me APU I have listed.

That hardware would cost a lot more than £305 in the UK.

A little bit over is ok, Im trying to convince him to invest abit more. He plans to do some light Indie games and record console gameplay.  but both of those builds look good! :)

Much improved build which is a little over budget.

great build mate, leaves some room for upgradbility. only thing I would change would be the the hdd. the Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive is abit cheaper and more storage. thanks :)
