Wake Up On Lan Android?

I want to access my pc from another area from another internet connection. So i have to make sure i can use wake up on lan. I'm not sure if i have to port foward and if i do im scared of opening up my pc to new threats and someone emoting into my pc. im using chrome remote desktop to access it do you guys recommend a specific program to use to wake up my pc on lan?   :(
