1070 Ti + ?CPU

I'm looking at building a new desktop and have kind of settled on a GTX 1070 TI for my graphics card. This card seems to fit my price/performance needs well. I'm looking for a CPU to match with this card keeping price/performance in mind here as well. I want a CPU that will not bottleneck this card, but don't really want to go crazy with something like the 8700k. Intel or AMD doesn't really matter for me. Right now I have a 24" 1080p monitor at 75Hz but want this build to last 4~5 years and a monitor upgrade if that factors in at all. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

What price point and Mobo?

Probably looking around the $1000 price point for the whole system. I was going to base the mobo off of the cpu, but would like NVME and USB 3.1 on on the B450 or Z370 chipsets. something like the MSI Z370-A PRO

look at a I5-8400. 6C 6T 4GHz turbo 2.8 normal

Thanks for the quick replies. At the $220 price point do you have an opinion on the 2600x vs the 8400?

or the 8600k for $20 more?

if you can get the 8600K for $20 more, go for it. If you wanna do allround things like streaming, encoding videos and gaming too: 2600X.
