What is the best way to reinstall Windows remotely? 

I have a friend who is not very computer knowledgeable and live quite a way for me to get there so was wondering if it is possible?

You can walk them through it over the phone, that's the cheapest and easiest way. Other than that there's no easy way to do it without extra hardware (KVM over IP) or a PXE server that you can manage. I think you might be able to make a automated install and throw it on a thumb drive and mail it to them, but I'm not sure how well that would work and troubleshooting any issues over the phone would be harder than just walking them through a normal install.

 

One idea that might be better than a clean install would be having them use the "Reset PC" function in Windows 10 (assuming they're running Windows 10 that is).

Okay thank you,  yeah was going to do it via phone, just hopfully nothing goes wrong cause winn need to boot from the windows drive and all the boot keys can be differnet.
