Hi guys

So i have only one heatsink fan. I was thinking about upgrading the airflow and cpu cooling in my case. This is my case: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-tower/masterbox-q300l/ . Currently i am looking into buying Corsair Hydro H100i RGB PLATINUM and replacing my heatsink and fan. I am pretty sure I should mount the watercooler fans at the frontside of the case. I was also thinking about getting 1/2/3  Corsair LL Series LL120 RGB fans, one for the backside to let warm air out and possbly 1/2 on the top side of the case. With the case also came a stock fan which i was not sure where to put it so i thought on the floor of the case could do. I have attached a file.

My issue is i am not sure how to connect it all to my motherboard (Asus ROG STRIX H370-I GAMING WiFi H370). I am damn sure i need a fann hub, but if i plug every fan into the fan hub does the rgb work on the fans? Or do I have to buy the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub to be able to have RGB and acces to the RGB through iCue?

I have downloaded iCue and AURA for the rgb so far and it would be great if i could manage everything with software.

Sorry if my sentences are a bit fucked up,

Sina

Looks like you have 1 CPU fan, 1 Pump and 1 case fan connections on that board.  The Corsair AIO will use the pump and cpu fan connections and then you will need a hub for everything else.  Cue will work for the corsair stuff, but the board should have settings in the BIOS to control everything else through the RGB header thats built in..  I don't think cue can be used to control non-Corsair fans and lights.

So if i get a Corsair-RGB-Fan-LED-Hub i should be able to connect multiple fans and control the Corsair RGB fans right? The stock fan for the bottom doesnt have RGB so as long as it spins it is fine by me (even if it doesnt its fine).

Yes, you'll loose the use of 1 USB2.0 and 1 SATA power to get it all to work, but you can run all your fans off the hub and control the RGB through software.

One quick question, I'm not seeing 120mm LL series fans on Corsair's website.  Only 140.  Have you already bought these?

Nope haven't bought them yet. I am gonna buy the fans and water pump from a dutch website ( im dutch). They are right here https://www.megekko.nl/product/1995/621781/Case-fan-120mm/Corsair-LL-Series-LL120-RGB-120mm-Dual-Light-Loop-RGB-LED-PWM-Fan-Single-Pack

And here the water cooler: https://www.megekko.nl/product/1986/351477/Complete-sets-CPU/Corsair-Hydro-H100i-RGB-PLATINUM

Got my corsair RAM from here as well its a good PC parts website here.

OK cool.  Maybe there are some things available for you there that aren't here.  Good luck!

I got another question. Is this thermal pad for the cpu compatible with my chosen watercooler? I am guessing it is right? I am looking into buying it because its way easier cleaning and i will most likely be upgrading my pc in the upcoming years a lot more.

Yup.  Should be.

So the thermal pad is 30mm x 30mm and my cpu 37,5 mm x 37,5 mm (Intel® Core i5-8500, 3,0 GHZ (4,1 GHz Turbo Boost) socket 1151 processor) if i am not mistaking. Will the shortage of 7,5 mm effect my cpu tempreature by a lot in a bad way?

I believe 37.5 is the chip, not the heat spreader where you will apply the pad.  It's 31.  Should be good to go.
