Hi guys.

I am building a new PC next week.

I am looking at either the ryzen 5 2600 or ryzen 7 2700. In my country the price different is about 150 USD it fluctuates but never less than 150 USD. May I have some insight?

RAM: 32gb 3000mhz ( 2 x 16gb)

PSU: 650w EVGA

GPU : GTX 1050 TI - from my spare PC.

2 500Gb SSD Samsung 860 : 1 for boot and 1 for storage

2 TB Seagate HDD for random storage.

My main purpose is for video and photos editing with simple games like StarCraft 2, Divinity Sin and League of Legends.

Also if there is a need of changing of gpu please do tell.

Thanks in advance.

you dont need 500gb of startup disk,  you can get away with 128 m2.

also go with the R5, i have mine clocked to 4.2 with no issues,   if you look up the comparison there isnt much.. in the future it will be a better buy but right now, not worth the extra 150usd..  (i could be mistaken, and maybe thats only for video games. )

32 gb of ton of ram, should be totally fine with that!

Ryzen 5 -5600x

ASUS x570

EVGA 3080 XC3

4x8gb 3600 mhz XPG

With Premeire Pr, Photoshop and Lightroom. Occasionally Luminar and Capture one

All of these greatly favours Intel, where are you from? would an Intel build be something you can do? an i7 8700 locked with 16gb of memory would probably be a good start.

I'm from Malaysia but currently residing in Australia. Need another PC in Malaysia as I travel back and forth very often. Thought of building a PC for my home in MY. My current PC in Melbourne is running on an I7 7700k. Would like to try to the new ryzen system.

If all you do was made for Intel... then... why? You're just gonna get yourself inferior performance and be prone for more instability just to favor a brand.

Thanks for the insight. I will then revert back to intel.
