L403NA Disassembly

I have an ASUS L403NA and for numerous reasons I need to pop the hood on it. The base of the laptop has 10 screws, however upon removal the backplate has no intention of budging. I've checked under the feet, and given all the labels a hard prodding (I don't want to take them off unless I have to) and can't find any hidden screws. I can't find any service manuals online either that might document how to pop the hood.

 

Does anyone have any ideas where to start with this thing?
