Are you in the us? If so, a cx550m is 30 bucks rn. If not, if you can I would suggest looking into the psu tier list. Tier 3/c+ yours is like tier 7.

Nope, IIRC the VS line is terrible, the 2017 CX refresh and CXM are as low as you can go and still get a solid PSU.
