    • My problem is everything is running smoothly but I'll get random frame stutters even when the CPU and GPU aren't under full load.  Sometimes if I restart my computer it fixes it, but I just built it and want it running smooth from the start.

Could it be that both of those games are WIDELY known for shit framepacing and stuttering., among other issues (across many varying systems)

And your PC is quite fine,... dealing with semi optimized / un-optimized  garbage time to time you will see a NOT perfect situation with software out of your control.

So what I'm saying is.... what other games do this? Because the two you mention, thats "Almost Normal" to come across in these games.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

When it happens, it happens across every game.  I chose those as examples of ones which hold up under load but when I restart, everything is okay.

could be standby memory problem you can use Intelligent standby list cleaner made by the guy who made the DDU application

What does a standby memory problem mean and what does intelligent standby list cleaner do to fix it?

This could be it actually, I use bitdefender and it is notorious for that.

The motherboard manufacturer suggested not to update the BIOS unless I change hardware to something unsupported on my current version, but everything should be fine as is I think?  Let me know if I am wrong - I asked MSI over the phone about BIOS updates and they said not to bother.

its a window's bug it causes some issue's with studdering been an issue for over a year, some game's don't suffer studdering but instead reduced framerate

here's a vid showing what diff it does

the Graph going all the way up or relatively high = studder

Intelligent standby list cleaner doesn't let the standby memory fill up completely by wiping it when it's almost at the max capacity
