need help choosing ram

Go to solution Solved by H4X3R,

Yeah but buy a set of 2 x 4 not 2 single ones (for compatibilities sake).

Thats almost twice the price of the one i linked though,

Find a used pair of 8GB stick/s (DDR3 has been phased out for a few years now so you most likely wont find it new) with up to 1600 mhz (any higher and there might be compatibility problems). Should cost between 10 and 40 $ / Euros.

I would not suggest buying another 4GB stick as there might be compatibility problems (most likely not but it happened to me before).

I don't even know if anything higher than 1333 is supported

It usually works, just find the cheapest 8GB stick/s and be done with it. You can always reduce the speed in the BIOS if it doesnt work,.

Should be fine but that seems very expensive. Go on gumtree and find a stick/s, you can save 50-80%.

The difference is minimal (1-3 fps). Just buy the cheaper one.

One is 4GB and the other is 8GB. You need to pay 30 x 2 = 60 for 8GB.
