With your budget, you should definitely be able to find a 1TB BarraCuda 3.5-inch (model ST1000DM010) and may be able to find a 1TB FireCuda 3.5" SSHD (Solid-State Hybrid Drive) for not much more. The model number on that one is ST1000DX002. The FireCuda works by placing data you access most frequently on an SSD cache for faster load-times, then the rest goes on a larger, conventional spinning hdd capacity so you still get solid bang-for-your-buck storage space while netting some of the performance gains people love about SSDs.
