thanks :) but thats not an answer to my question. i just want to know if it can damagr my system :D

well it could, but if you have a strong antivirus you should be fine

hi, just built my first pc. i was wondering if putting an hdd from like 10 years ago would work. back then i had no knowledge of anything about computers and the internet  so if there is a virus or znything on the disk that is something along the lines of virus, can it damage my system? is it safe to put an old hdd in my new pc if u know that literally anything can be on that drive. also yes i do have storage. but the old disk has some old pictures that i would like to recover :)

thanks in advance

backup the data and format the old hdd, your HDD's virus can be flushed

"Make it future proof for some years at least, don't buy "only slightly better" stuff that gets outdated 1 year, that's throwing money away" @pipoawas

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later
