That is the way, which recommends Microsoft.

To repair a corrupt .mdb database of MS Access, one can try Compact and Repair feature of MS Access. It repairs corrupt database and makes it accessible for database users. Other than this one can also use import feature of MS Access that helps database users import their corrupt database to a new database file.

Nevertheless, some weeks ago, my friend has the same problem as you and the method above didn't aid him. He wasted some days for search of proper decision, which is able to restore access table. He found it on one of the following sources:

Our agreeable IT department today has seen a quite complicated issue. We still can’t able to open .mdb file with the help of MS Access 2010, we sued some tools, but unfortunately they didn’t help us.

I dont know squat about .mdb files or about MS Access, but if you right click on the file and look under properties can you tell what software was used to create the file?

@kb5zue, What @LauraGilabert is asking it too vague, Did the file ever open? What happened before it wouldn't work? if it did. Who made the .mdb was it in house or externally. Just stating Microsoft Access wont open it doesn't provide much to go on.

If possible Laura can you explain the problem and what happens when you try to open it. Like possibly Screenshots of the Properties etc.

It would help out.

Some people prefer a challenge, I just band my head against a wall until my method works...
