Plugging high impedance headphones into a mixer console

Orph-eus

Hey guys.

Recently picked up a pair of DT990s at 250ohm impedance. My Asus Strix Soar advertises as being able to handle up to 600ohms. If I run the headphone out from this card into my mixer and then plug my headphones into the headphone out on my mixer, will I not be getting the full effect of my soundcard? In essence, do I need to plug my headphones directly into the soundcard rather than the mixer or will the difference be negligible?

Directly into the PC, as it's using the onboard codec/amp/hardware to drive them.  If you plug it into a mixer it could detect a lower impedance and then set it to that.

I could be wrong, but that's how i use mine for the extreme sound profile and that works 100%
