staples is a pretty legit store...not sure how you got scammed by staples unless it was a fake website. always check for the green lock and secure logo at the beginning of the URL if you're using Chrome

EDIT: and in regards to the OG question, Office Depot/Office Max are very big stores, i haven't personally bought anything from them online but i've bought stuff from them in-store

i'm gonna say that it is the real office depot, because i'm pretty sure a company as big as them wouldn't let a fake officedepot . com go unnoticed

Simple solution = get the phone number for office depot/office max (not from the site in question) and call them.

Best Excuses:

#1(simple) "Well, I never liked that stupid thing anyway!"

#2(complex) "Obviously there was a flaw in the material, probably due to the inadvertent introduction of contaminants during the manufacturing process."

officedepot.com is the same thing as "the website in question", i think what he meant is to google "office depot" and look for their customer service number, and if they're the same then its legit, if you still aren't sure, then call them. here's the link to the google search results, you should see a box in the corner with stats about the company and their phone number https://www.google.com/search?site=&source=hp&q=office+depot&oq=office+depot&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0i131k1j0i20k1j0j0i131k1.2608.5439.0.5758.15.13.0.0.0.0.105.777.11j1.12.0....0...1.1.64.psy-ab..3.12.775.0..35i39k1j0i67k1.oxIedMmgO_M

if you don't want to look around for it here's their customer service number... Customer service: 1 (800) 463-3768
