Display Port - No Signal

So I have a monitor from asus (VG248qe) and today I unplugged it because I was getting room remodeling. Now when I plug my white displayport cable back in it says that there is no signal and goes into sleep mode. I have to use the display port for 144 hz and the fact that it worked for a year fine gets me thinking that it is the cable that is broken.

Replace cable before anything else. Also, try a different port on you FPU

didnt work Im just going to buy a new display port cable only 8 dollars
