Asus z270e

Go to solution Solved by cj09beira,

if there are bent pins you probably have to rma the board :-(

I was starting to build my computer last night, but it would not post. I have an Asus z270e motherboard, a 7700k, and an asus 1080. I am positive these are all compatible but the system would not post to save it's life. Since there is no screen to display the post code, there are lights. Not of the lights turned on. I concluded the issue is that there are 2 bent pins on the CPU socket. I received the motherboard in the esd bag but the cover that goes on top of the socket was loose and somewhere else in the bag. Is there a way that 2 bent pins could cause a motherboard to not even find a post issue?
