eGPU, worth it?

Are there any thunderbolt 3 enclosures for windows that are cheap? should I even bother?

Dont know if there's a better place to put this, just wondering if there's any point in investing in eGPU enclosures and whether its financially viable. I've been researching it a little bit but I figure this is the forum to find this stuff out.

Yes. Around 300 USD. Akitio has one.

Whether if there's a point depends on you. TB3 enclosures are inferior to direct PCIE out enclosures like Alienware's AGA. You take a 20% loss in performance right out of the box running TB3, more the stronger the GPU is and weaker the CPU. People ran a Titan XP on Razer Core with a 6700HQ and it barely met a desktop 1080. There are confirmed benches on Razer Insider showing a 1070 in a core paired with the Blade only matching a laptop 1060 in other systems like a P650RP6. Is it cool? Sure. Whether it's worth it is up to you.
