Looking for a Laptop, but which?

Hey folks,

I'm looking to purchase a laptop, but even after quite a bit of research I'm unsure what my best options out there are. I'm looking for something that can complete basic tasks but also be able to do a little bit of light gaming or occasional non-professional photo/video editing. When I say light gaming, I'm referring to less graphic intensive games such as Civ 5, Cities Skylines, Prison Architect, Don't Starve, etc. I'm not going to be playing anything like Battlefield, I've got a pretty good desktop PC already. I want something that is nice and thin, something that is ultra portable.

Here is an idea what I'm looking for:

- At least 256GB SSD storage.

- At least 8 GB of RAM.

- A 6th or 7th generation Intel Core i5 or i7, something along those lines

- For graphics, something that can handle the tasks mentioned above, but nothing fancy.

- 13 inch form factor is probably best, but I'm open for 15 inch suggestions

- 1080p display is all that is necessary. I'm not interested in a touchscreen or convertible.

- Thin, but with at least 1-2 full sized USBs and microphone/headphone combo jack. A USB type-C would be nice, but not necessary.

- Nothing too expensive, but I've got a pretty flexible budget. Let's not go over $2000 CAD.

- When it comes to purchasing, I'm in Canada.

Thanks, I would appreciate some help!

Well this is kind of depressing.

If your budget is flexible enough, one of the Thinkpad T models might be good, especially with the discounts they're running right now.

I don't have the most extensive knowledge about laptops, so my suggestions are a bit limited, but hey, a suggestion is a suggestion.

"Do as I say, not as I do."

Never buy your RAM or your drives or your Wlan card from Eurocom. They overprice it. Buy it yourself and slot it in. Just pick up whatever you CANNOT upgrade yourself like the CPU or screen. But that's it. Buy everything else yourself and it's a nice deal. Canada doesn't really have any nice deals and everything is overpriced to shit.

Otherwise something like a XP13 or T460s is good.
