It stops you opening up the controller, so you can see the insides.

Damn.  They put different screws on it?  That's lousy.  What are they hiding?

Because the controller is usable in tournaments they dont want anyone messing with them, basically they want you to send them back to them for repairs etc....

Hello everyone :)

Looking for some help in finding the right driver for the security screw on the scuf 4ps, any help would be great :)

from hours of research i have found this screw is called scuf tournament screw.
The only way to remove the scuf tournament security screw from the controller is to have the right multi head security screwdriver set. The security screwdriver set that has the scuf screwdriver for the weird security screw, paddle screws, and torx screws on the controller can only be found in this kit. the one on amazon and harbor frieght doesn't have the proper bits or screwdrivers. I've also looked in home depot, ifixit, lowes, and grainger. Good luck and I hope this helps you and anyone else looking for the right bit to open the scuf controller. Don't be fooled like I did and have to return many disappointing tool sets.
search for mpn security-screwdriver-bit-set-103 - its from newelectronx
