Msi z77 mpower

corsair h100

16gb avexir mpower ram

msi 7850 twin frozr iii

Nzxt phantom 410

Corsair cx600

120gb samsung 840 series ssd

3tb seagate barracuda

3x 120mm silverstone air penertrators

1080p Asus monitor

corsair m90 mouse

random cheap keyboard (until i can afford corsair k90)

no soundcard (for now)

Excellent first build. Everything in that list works well together, all while not being overkill in any of the areas and leaving room for upgrades. Can't wait for pictures!

  • CPU: 1090T@4.1ghz
  • GPU: Gigabyte 7870
  • MOBO: Crosshair Formula V
  • RAM: 8GB 1333mhz
  • PSU: 650w corsair HX
  • SSD: 120GB Kingston HyperX
  • Sound card: Asus Xonar DX

You might want to skip the h100 for now (maybe a midrange air cooler?) and go with something like a 7870 or find a 660 ti or 7950 on sale. I've seen them as low as ~$230. You will still be able to overclock the 3570k with a mid to high end air cooler.

Love it, though ravens advice is spot on, how about getting a Hyper 212+ EVO for now, and get a 7870? (If you can return your products of course)

Looks good, I do echo other peoples opinions on the cooler though, unless you are going to go for some heavy overclocking (Sandy Bridge would more suited to that purpose though). Not doing any harm having a h100 though. You have hit the nail on the head with balancing the actual hardware itself.
