It's a passive 3d monitor, not active like an nvidia 3d vision monitor, if that's what you were looking for.

 

I've not used a passive 3d monitor so can't comment on it.

I recommend avoiding passive 3D monitors due to their low refresh rate. If you are/plan to be gaming with your monitor I would buy 120Hz or 144Hz Monitor.

For the same amount of money you can have BenQ XL2411t which is a 144Hz low input lag gaming monitor (It doesn't get better than this. The only competitor is ASUS VG248QE which is more expensive and almost the same)

The xl2411t is probably a good buy if you can get it for the same price as the passive one in the OP. AFAIK it uses the same internals as the 2420t but has fewer input choices/cheaper stand etc to keep the price down?
