Upgrade Advice Needed

Budget (including currency): Maximum of about £500

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I'm doing a Games Design MSc and will hopefully be entering the industry afterwards, so will need to use UE4 (5 when its out), Unity, Adobe Suit (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects). I also play many different games and types of game over time so hard to list them, but currently I've got back into playing PUBG as my main one.

Hey all!

I'm looking to upgrade my PC somepoint soon - its 4 or 5 years old now with no major upgrades so its about time it had one! I've used it for all my gaming since I've had it, and used it for much of the games dev I've done over the past 3 years on the Games Design and Programming BSc I graduated from this year.

The link to my current build can be found above - like I say its about 5 years old now and has worked well the entire time, but its definitely about time for an upgrade and given I've gotten a bit more from my student loan this year and a new job, I've finally got a bit more money spare that I can use for it. This was my first PC build so I got a friend to pick out all the parts for me originally - I know a bit more about it all now but I'm still by no means an expert, hence why I'm asking your advice! I may end up waiting until the Black Friday sales so I can get things cheaper, but if I can know what I'm looking for early that would be great!

I'm thinking it needs atleast a Motherboard, CPU, and RAM upgrade, but to exactly what is where I'm unsure.

Any help y'all can give would be great, thanks! :D

I'd wait upgrading right now. Ryzen 4000 is around the corner and that would be the thing to get. So basically a the new 6c/12t amd cpu + a b550 board and 16gb of ram. Then later you can upgrade the other stuff if need be. You'll probably also want to put a aftermarket cooler on it but that is to be seen.
