Shut down delay

quysang219

Hello all,

My PC runs on Windows 10 64bit. It's brand new (bought last month) so it starts and shuts down very fast.

Recently I noticed that when I shut down, although the screen goes off already, the CPU and case fans keep running for about 10 seconds before shutting down.

What could be the cause of this please? I'm worried coz it got blue screen recently. I clean-reinstalled Windows 10, the blue screen no longer appears, but the delay is still there...

that is generally fine, your pc will be still be running certain tasks to make sure its everything is in order for when you boot back up again.

also blue screening once is really not a reason to re-install windows. if it was multiple times in one day maybe.

Do not panic every time your system shut down 2 seconds longer or boots 2 second longer. You have new computer, so use it for something more interesting than boot/shutdown time measurement.
