question about mouse click latency and my new mouse

I was using a G pro wireless  and loved it but loving the coolermaster  MM711 even more. my first ultralight and it feels like playing with wireless. i opened up settings to change RGB settings and noticed under performance that there is a Button Response Time Slider that was on 12 ms. i put it on 4ms which is the fastest it can offer. but this started worrying me. i never seen a mouse with adjustable response time and thus never really thought about response time of mice in general. why would you want slow response time?. and also, is 4 ms slower than other mice? i dont want to give myself a disadvantage in games compared to my GPW, which never even showed response time in settings so i never even thought about it. i dont know anything about mouse button response times so i dont know if 4 ms is normal but shouldnt it be less?
