i got bored and decided to try and build the best workstation under $1,000 USD (PCPartPicker pricelist)

I feel like the used market would really shine here.

 

You should be able to have a better card than an RX 560 in a workstation.

i agree, but im not actually planning on buying or building a workstation, and the challenge was to use just PCPartPicker prices, but thank you :)

i’d do 2x8gb and use the saved money on a better gpu, maybe rx 580

pc specs:

16gb ddr4 3200mhz

b450 tomahawk max
rx 6600xt

1tb ssd + 6tb hdd
meshify c
750w dragon or something psu idk

ehh, unless rendering a workstation shouldnt need more then 4gb VRAM

no i mean get 16gb ram and an rx 580 4gb vram

edit: How the hell did you fit a Threadripper in a $1000 system??

the 1920x is one of the cheapest threadrippers ahahah, makes you need an expensive motherboard and CPU cooler though, TR4 isnt really seen#

 

and i have the same problem, spend hours at 4am building PC's i will never buy
