budget workstation (not a problem, just bored)

idwt

i got bored and decided to try and build the best workstation under $1,000 USD (PCPartPicker pricelist)

if you are also bored feel free to tell me what you would change, lets see how good of a workstation we can get out of $1,000 :)

I feel like the used market would really shine here.

You should be able to have a better card than an RX 560 in a workstation.

Probably would've been a good idea to list that in the OP ;)

I'm aware you're not planning to buy, but Intel X58 or X79 were the first things that came to mind when I read "budget workstation".

I think I should go to bed. However, this crap is way too fun.

edit: How the hell did you fit a Threadripper in a $1000 system??

My Build (5800X3D, RTX 3070)

disclaimer: i probably don't know what I'm talking about but I try to give the best advice I can
